Re: Our file #28-865
Dear Anthony:
As per our conversation, the Town of Southampton has substantially raised the assessment on each of the units within Westhampton Landing Condominium.
In reviewing the increases, it appears that the assessor has raised the assessments back to the figures that we had settled this case at in 2008/09. I advised the attorney for the Town of Southampton of the fact the assessments have been restored to the previous settled amount in an effort to try to resolve this case at an early stage.
We do not yet know the Town’s position regarding this increase. If they believe that the assessments must be placed back to the pre- settlement figures, we will aggressively pursue the matter against the Town since our analysis will once again indicate a substantial reduction and we may perhaps achieve reductions lower than the previously agreed to amount.
As soon as I receive more information from the Town regarding this substantial increase, I will be in contact with you.
