HURRICANE ALERT

     In preparation for the possible occurrence of Hurricane Irene affecting eastern Long Island this coming weekend with forecasted winds of 70 – 90 mph, please be sure to secure all items on patios/decks before the weekend to prevent damage to your personal belongings as well as to others’ property.  This includes, but is not limited to, patio furniture, toys, bikes, grills, plants, etc. 

      For the interior of your home,  make sure you have a few flashlights available.   Replace the batteries in your existing flashlights and confirm that you have extra ones in the event power is lost for a long period of time. 

      Please make every effort to take the appropriate precautions in anticipation of this weekend’s weather forecast.
