WINTERIZE YOUR SUMMER HOME

Is it Fall or Winter?  The calendar says Fall, the trees have yet to shed their leaves, and snow is already in the forecast.

If you are not planning on visiting The Landings for the foreseeable future, have you winterized your condo for what is shaping up to be an early winter?  Some things you should consider:

    a.     draining your pipes and water heater or

    b.     leaving heat on with a temperature of no less than 60 degrees

    c.     turning off refrigerator and leaving doors open

By taking these early precautions, you will avoid the possibility of frozen pipes that could burst and flood the unit.  Shutting down the refrigerator is a cost saving measure and also prolongs the life of the unit.

By taking some precautionary steps in advance, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure and will contribute to a more pleasant mind set for the winter of 2012.
