Renters and the Electricians
The board has been told by the master electrician who is responsible for the wiring conversion that individual renters have prevented his staff from entering units to do their job.
Those unit owners who have renters need to communicate to their tenants that they have to comply. This is not a choice a tenant has. The previous messages sent to all unit owners clarifies that this is an association project with the specifics regarding entrance to units as explained in the by-laws of The Landings.
We are approaching the renewal date of our insurance which, as you know, has been in jeopardy due to the aluminum wiring prevalent in many units. The Landings needs to show the insurance company that a majority of the condos have been converted to copper wiring and tenants that interfere with our progress only puts our renewal at risk.
Please convey to your tenants that they are under the same obligation as the owners and must not deny access to the units.
Thank you for your cooperation.
