Wiring Project Update #4-Permits

Some unit owners have inquired as to the purpose, scope and necessity for permits and inspections for the electrical work being done at The Landings. The letter below is information directly from the master electrician.

Harrison Electric has been retained by The Board of Managers of Westhamptmonon Landings Condominium to disconnect all electrical branch wire circuitry and replace with copper wire. Condominium branch wire circuits include the Heat, AC, the wires to all lights, outlets and electrical appliances in Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Hallways, Stairwells, Living Rooms, Kitchens, Family Rooms and Laundry Rooms. Essentially this represents every electrical wire except the main feed wires and ground wires that enter the building for each unit.
This project requires replacing wires on three levels and therefore certain wall/ceilings penetrations will be necessary to gain access. Rishad Odawally is working with the electricians overseeing this and then repairing and restoring said openings to the original, prewiring condition.
Permits are not required for this project. All completed electrical work shall be inspected by an electrical inspector from the Town of Southampton upon completion of the entire project.
