Dog Rules
The Landings is an animal friendly community with an increasing number of owners having dogs. We need to remind everyone that because we live in a residence of 50 condos in close proximity to one another, it is important to think of our neighbors. A good many of us come to The Landings from private homes. The difference is clear. Not everyone loves dogs and many object to constant barking. Therefore, the board asks for every dog owners’ cooperation by observing the following:
a. dogs should not be left unattended on balconies or the lower levels because barking has become an annoying noise issue to neighbors. At all times, excessive barking should be curtailed.
b. guests of owners who visit with dogs are under the same obligation as owners to supervise their dogs’ behavior.
c. dogs should be walked off premises for a number of reasons: some small children are intimidated by them; their waste needs to be picked up.
d. dogs should be leashed especially on season between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
e. renters are not allowed to have pets.
Kindly note the pet regulation below that is part of The Landings rules which is on our website, www.westhamptonlandings.com.
1 . No animals shall be permitted, kept or harbored in any building unless expressly permitted in writing by the Board of Managers and such consent, if given, shall be revocable by the Board of Managers in their sole discretion, at any time.
2. Dogs and cats that have been approved by the Board of Managers are to be leashed when on Condominium property and waste removed from the area. Everyone should cooperate in keeping the property unsoiled by making every effort to walk dogs outside of the property. Those who do not comply will be warned, fined if the offense continues and if the violations persist, will be directed to remove the pet(s). Renters and guests are prohibited from keeping dogs on the property.
